  • To vote, bring an authorized Photo ID such as a drivers license
  • To register, bring your proof of identity and proof of residency.
  • Early voting is called “in-person absentee voting”
  • It is done on a ballot at your manciple clerk’s office (application form not needed).
  • The Sunday before the election (or earlier) is the last day for a clerk to conduct in-person absentee voting (there are some exceptions for military, the personnel, hospitalized and sequestered jurors).  Each municipal clerk’s office sets its own schedule for in-person absentee voting. Call ahead.
  • Ensure your are properly registered (see above)
  • Click to visit My Vote Wisconsin and follow the directions there
  • Fill out the online form or download the application form.
  • Type in the data & print the form (or print the blank form & fill in by hand).
  • Mail, email, ship  or hand deliver to your Municipal Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on the 5th day preceding the election.
  • Your ballot will arrive by mail.
  • Start these steps early enough to allow for mail delivery times.
  • Mark up your ballot, place it the mailer signed by you and by a witness.
  • Return mailer to the Municipal Clerk’s office before the deadline.

April 2,  2024Spring Election (Non-Partisan) and Presidential Preference Primary Ballots are not yet available.

Ballots may present referendum Questions and Candidates for local Non-Partisan offices e.g. County Board, Sheriff, County and Municipal Clerks, County and Municipal Treasurers, County Board Supervisors, and Judges for Circuit Court and Court of Appeals.
