We Just Need Republicans to … Get Out of the Way!

Edited by Allin

Wisconsin Republicans’ Latest Stunt Falls Flat

Instead of having the Republican members of the Joint Finance Committee show up and do their job, state Senate Republicans attempted to override nine of Governor Evers’ vetoes—attempts which ultimately failed after the Assembly failed to come into session at all.

This latest stunt is yet another desperate attempt by Republican politicians in Madison to distract from the reality that they alone are responsible for blocking approved funding from flowing to save rural hospitals and clean pollutants from our drinking water. Wisconsin doesn’t need another round of press conferences and pointless show votes, we just need Republicans to release the money they’ve already approved and get out of the way.

The WisDems Rural Caucus Wants New Members!

The Rural Caucus is here to listen to rural voters and advance rural priorities and is always looking for more people to join! The Caucus aims to build a diverse coalition dedicated to advocating for policies that prioritize economic stability, healthcare access, and agricultural support. By expanding its membership base, the Caucus will be able to amplify the voices of rural Wisconsinites in state politics, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed by policymakers.

Paid for by the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, Ben Wikler, Chair
