Sister Bay Fall Fest parade – Walk w/ Candidates

The Door County & Kewaunee Democrats, Indivisible and our candidates, Renee Paplham & Dr. Kristin Lyerly, ask you to stand with us for reproductive rights and democratic priorities, and walk in the Sister Bay Fall Fest parade this Saturday, October 19th. Parade start time is 11am.

We will have Renee’s float in the parade for approximately a dozen riders if needed, a mustang convertible, and a large SUV decorated for the candidates to haul signs etc. which can also hold a few riders.

Door County continues to attract a lot of media attention and a Swiss television team who saw the parade publicized on the Door Dem website has requested to follow our parade activities.

We would love to have lots of marchers to hold our signs, or your own, and walk the parade route. The Indivisible/Door Dems/Renee Paplham/Dr. Kristin Lyerly float will be lined up, with the others on Maple Dr. (aka County ZZ) east of the Sister Bay Bowl/Ace Hardware/Husbys/On Deck Clothing intersection of ZZ and the Sister Bay main drag.

We would like marchers to gather at our float on Maple Dr (County ZZ) after 9:30 am but by 10:15am if possible. Parking is difficult so I recommend carpooling if possible to the event.

From Indivisible: Parking may be available at the Piggly Wiggly Parking lot at the top of the hill, or at the St Luke’s Church & the health clinic on HWY 57 just outside of town. There is a $10 donation for the food pantry in Sister Bay. Vehicle access to the village core will be restricted after 9:00 AM so come early and expect a walk from your car to the float.

There is also a shuttle that will run from remote parking areas (information is available on the Sister Bay festival page).

EVENT RESCHEDULED - SAME TIME (6:30-8 PM), SAME LOCATION (Southern Door High School Library), SAME FORMAT. Your attendance will be a great support for Renee
