Great candidates deserve your enthusiastic support

The upcoming November 5 elections will be both top – down and bottom – up elections. President Biden and Senator Baldwin will carry the top, Renee’ Paplham (Assembly) and Kristin Lyerly (Congress) will carry the local elections.

All four candidates have websites where you can learn about them and their campaigns and donate to help them win. They are all worthy of your enthusiastic support.

Briefly:

Renee’ Paplham was born and raised in Kewaunee County. She is a graduate of UW-GB and currently works as a caregiver to individuals with special needs and as a mediator for the Green Bay Mediation Center. She says she is running to “give the people of the 1st District (Joel Kitchens) a representative who rises above partisan politics and takes on issues that improve the lives of working families.”

Kristin Lyerly is an OB/GYN physician with six-generations of  Wisconsin roots in dairy farming and the paper industry. She is a pro-patient, pro-choice advocate who “regularly contributes to local and national conversations about access to rural healthcare, IVF, abortion, menopause, and all facets of reproductive rights.”(8th Congressional District, Mike Gallagher)

Your signature is needed on the Nomination Petitions of our Democratic candidates. On Saturday, April 20th, we held  a pop-up, drive-through event in our office parking lot at the corner of 4th Ave. and Jefferson in Sturgeon Bay. The event was highly successful. More signatures as still needed. You can add yours during our office hours, noon to 6:00 Wed – Fri and Sat 11:00-2:oo.

April 2 elections were note worthy

On Wednesday, April 3, Steve Kornacki, MSNBC’s election numbers guru, pointed to a large Wisconsin map. On it were red Republican and blue Democratic counties. In the midst of red NE Wisconsin counties was blue Door County.

It seems truer that we should be purple, but it was exciting to see!

An overview of the election shows the three candidates we supported- both formally and informally- all won: Jennifer Moeller for Circuit Court, Ryan Shaw and Claire Morkin for County Supervisor.

More Democrats voted than did Republicans, President Biden won his Primary by 90% of the votes cast, Donald Trump by 75%.
