Tuesday, Apr 11, 2023, at about 8:55 pm, NBC News declared Judge Janet Protasiewicz the winner over Daniel Kelly in the race for a seat on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court. Associated Press concurred a few minutes later. The NBC announcement came with Protasiewicz votes at 551,320 to Kelly’s 408,330 (57.5% to 42.5%) received from about 56% of precincts then reporting. Judge Janet’s victory is decisive. It will switch the Court from far right to progressive and will likely impact Voting Rights, Abortion and District Map Gerrymandering among other issues.
